Philippe CHARBONNEAUX : creator of the museum
1985 Creation of the french automobile historical center by Mister Philippe Charbonneaux in the enclosure of a former metallic workshop factory, with a surface of more than 4000 square metre. Presentation of the personal collection, realization and reseachs from Mr. Charbonneaux.
1998 Death of Mister Philippe Charbonneaux
1998 Création of the S.C.A.R. association (Salon des Collections Automobiles Rémois) by vehicles lovers who became administrators and in charge of the automobile museum.
1999 140 vehicles are quickly on exhibition, soon followed by sixty other vehicles which permit to present you now about 200 cars and motobecanes representative of all the 20th Century.
A regular rotation permits to renew the exhibitions with the lending of private vehicles.
The models which cannot be ignored stay permanently visible.
Pedal cars, enamelled signs, period advertisements and a collection of thousands of miniature cars from the 19's until nowadays make the visitor nostalgic.
2000 Installation of many cycles and mopeds and motorcycles.
2001 Purchase of the car that was manufactured in Witry-lès-Reims, the SCAR.
2002 Purchase of the former advertising lorry of the regional newspaper l'UNION.
2003 Public presentation of the lorry ' Union ' after restoring.

Exhibition of cars from the Liberation of Reims, the 30th August.
